Independent workshop
Designed and hand-assembled
SKAVI is a small independent workshop. Each plate is CAD-designed for the 2025 Hornet. Some parts are custom manufactured according to our files (upper stainless steel plate…), others are made directly in the workshop (connector adapter, lower bracket etc.). Each kit is then prepared, assembled, and inspected in the workshop before being shipped.

Roadmap: what you need to know

High beams functional, blue indicator inactive
The motorcycle and the CB650R headlight do not handle this signal in the same way. For safety reasons, it is not wired at the moment.
If a new adapter allows the hi-beam indicator to be activated, it will be offered at cost price to kit owners.
US clients: DDP or DAP
We handle duties before shipping. Nothing to pay upon delivery, no unpleasant surprises.
Cheaper if the exemption applies, but the final amount is only known upon the arrival of the package.
Why these customs duties?
The main component of the kit is the Honda OEM CB650R headlight, manufactured in Thailand. According to GRI rule 3b, this is what gives the kit its essential character: the kit is therefore classified as a headlight, HTSUS code 8512.20.2040.
Our shipper (La Poste France) applies a 25% U.S. duty to this code. As a motorcycle headlight, exemption 9903.94.06 should reduce this rate to 12.5%, but La Poste's system does not offer this percentage. This is why the DDP flat fee is calculated at 25%, and the DAP estimate ranges from 12.5% to 25%.
We handle duties before shipping. Nothing to pay upon delivery, no unpleasant surprises.
Duties are paid directly to UPS upon arrival of the package.
Why these customs duties?
Excluding the headlight, the primary declared origin is China: headlight trim, windshield, and upper plate in stainless steel (though custom-made). This is despite parts being manufactured and/or extensively processed in France (PET-CF lower plate, connector adapter, etc.).
The kit is declared under HTSUS code 8714.10.0050, subject to a 7.5% duty and a 12.5% surcharge (9903.05.31).
